Alamance County Rescue Unit is an all volunteer, non-profit, non-taxed based organization providing high quality emergency services to Alamance County and surrounding counties. The units was originally established in 1956 by five Graham firefighters who saw the need for specialized rescue services including drowning recovery, search and rescue, both vehicle and machinery accident rescue. Throughout the years, Alamance County rescue has worked closely with local fire, police, and EMS agencies to assist when called upon. The units continues to provide a wide array of specialty services including wilderness search and rescue, swift water rescue, confined space rescue and large animal rescue.

We strive to better serve the citizens and visitors of the rapidly growing Alamance County. Through training and close teamwork with other county agencies, we are prepared and ready to respond to whatever call for help may be. Thanks you to all who have supported Rescue over the years past. I am proud to serve amongst some of the greatest people who constantly dedicate time, blood, sweat and tears to better serve our community.
