Welcome to Alamance County Rescue. We would first like to thank you for your interest in becoming a member of our organization. We are currently accepting applications. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Applications will be processed and applicants will be notified according to date received when slots are open. Please complete the application, located in a file below. A criminal background check must be included with the application. Background checks can be completed at the Court House in Graham. If you have lived outside of Alamance County for a period of time we also require a background check from the other states or countys. Once completed, print the application and attach the criminal background check to the back of the application. Applications can be delivered to Alamance County Rescue Base (110 W McAden St., Graham, NC 27253) between the hours of 9am-5pm during the week, or at 7 pm on Wednesday. Applications may also be mailed in at PO Box 615, Graham, NC 27253.
Overview of the application process:
- Once application is received the membership committee will review you application.
- If accepted, there will be a six month probationary period.
- Probationary members are expected to participate in a majority of trainings and general duty stand-bys.
- New members must complete the probationary book and show competency of equipment use, truck knowledge, SOG’s, and basic rescue skills.
Upon completion of a new member’s probationary period, general membership will vote on an individual for general member status. The general membership takes into account the new member’s participation, attitude, communication skills and eagerness to learn.

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must live within Alamance County or adjoining counties.
Must have a good driving record and never been convicted of a Felony.
